Candidates pay nothing to use Switch’d. Building a profile, searching, applying and messaging are free and always will be. The one thing a candidate can buy is a profile boost — optional, by the week, and labelled to employers as paid placement.
*Recruitment agencies pay per posting. Everything else on this page applies to them too — the difference is that an agency is reselling access to this market rather than hiring for itself.
A boosted job is pinned to the top of the board and labelled “Sponsored” on the card — the plainer word for a reader deciding where to apply. A boosted profile is lifted to the top of employer search and labelled “Boosted” on the row. Both are paid placement and both say so.
Neither buys a judgement about anybody. Switch’d does not score candidates and does not decide who fits a role — employers search, filter and read, and a person makes every call. Paying moves you up a page; it does not tell anyone you are better.
And nobody is pushed out to make room. Placement reorders a page, it never removes anyone from it.
